Making Peace with Food and Your Body.
When you look in the mirror, are you happy with what you see? From a young age, I was taught to diet at every meal in order to look like the other dancers in my jazz and ballet classes. My 10-year-old self was never happy with the way she looked, and I wish I could go back in time and teach her that her body was beautiful and did not need dieting and excessive exercise. Like me, if you can relate to any of these feelings, you’re far from alone. Our culture places so much pressure on our physical appearance, and it creates a mindset where we are prone to guilt, shame, self-criticism, and a perception that thin, above all else, equals healthy.
In my Intuitive Eating Individual Coaching sessions, we’ll toss all of that aside in favor a new mindset: one where diets (and guilt!) are a thing of the past, and your relationship with food, your body, and yourself is healthy and happy.
