When you look in the mirror, are you happy with what you see? From a young age, I was taught to diet at every meal in order to look like the other dancers in my jazz and ballet classes. My 10-year-old self was never happy with the way she looked, and I wish I could go back in time and teach her that her body was beautiful and did not need dieting and excessive exercise. Like me, if you can relate to any of these feelings, you’re far from alone. Our culture places so much pressure on our physical appearance, and it creates a mindset where we are prone to guilt, shame, self-criticism, and a perception that thin, above all else, equals healthy.
In my Intuitive Eating Individual Coaching sessions, we’ll toss all of that aside in favor a new mindset: one where diets (and guilt!) are a thing of the past, and your relationship with food, your body, and yourself is healthy and happy.
How it Works:
- Individual Coaching: With personalized 1:1 sessions, we’ll evaluate your current patterns, discuss your goals, and develop long-lasting healthy habits that will help you live a life full of energy, fulfillment, and happiness and let go of the craziness around food!
- Mindset Transformation: When we try to address our eating habits through quick fixes, like fad diets or restrictive rules, we’re setting ourselves up for a lot of frustration. Healthy eating doesn’t mean bland and boring, and it doesn’t mean depriving or guilting yourself. When you begin to transform your mindset, you learn how to build a relationship with food and your body that is about self-acceptance, not guilt and criticism.
- A Deeper Understanding of Your Habits: Whether you’re an emotional binge eater or serial dieter, I can help you understand your current eating habits in order to transform into an intuitive eater. This is a vital step towards beginning your transformation; if you don’t understand where you’re starting, it’s easy to revert back to old habits in times of stress, sadness, or other negative emotions.
- Strategies for Mindful Eating: After you open yourself to the possibility of intuitive eating, I guarantee you’ll walk away with tools you’ll implement throughout the rest of your life.
